The lab's self-hosted team chat. Start here — how to use lab chat, and (for the curious) how to run your own server.
Mattermost is the lab’s self-hosted team chat — think Slack, but we run it ourselves on our own server. Your messages and files live on the lab’s infrastructure, not a third party’s. (Members: the sign-in address is in your invite email — or ask Francisco.)
These pages cover both using lab chat and, for students who want to learn how the service is built, running your own Mattermost server.
Using lab chat
